Srilanka, March 21 -- A tense situation unfolded today near Polduwa Junction in Battaramulla, close to the Parliament, as protesting unemployed graduates clashed with the police.

The graduates have been staging protests for several days, demanding employment opportunities from the government, in line with promises made during previous election campaigns.
