Srilanka, May 5 -- A fatal shooting took place this morning (May 5) at the intersection of the coastal road in Mount Lavinia, according to police.

Two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle reportedly opened fire on a young man before fleeing the scene. The victim, a 19-year-old resident of Auburn Place in Dehiwala, died from his injuries.

Mount Lavinia Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to identify the suspects.
