Sri Lanka, Jan. 22 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayarathna yesterday issued an order directing the Government Analyst that a mobile phone analytical report of the Swiss embassy officer Garniar Banister Francis be submitted in court as a confidential report.

Swiss Embassy employee Garniar Banister Francis claimed she was allegedly kidnapped and threatened by a group of unidentified persons. She is on bail.

The Chief Magistrate observed that there is no impediment to call for an analytical in respect of the mobile phone relating to a criminal investigation in terms of the section section 38 (2) of the Diplomatic Privileges Act (No.09 of 1996).
