Sri Lanka, Sept. 4 -- A suspect in a shooting that targetted a car in Meetiyagoda on Monday (1) was arrested on Tuesday night in Agarapatana and handed over to the Police. The suspect, Lahiru Sampath, was arrested by the Talawakelle Police Special Task Force (STF) at his wife's home in Holbrook, Agarapatana, where he was hiding.

The 32-year-old suspect was presented before Nuwara Eliya Magistrate Lankagani Prabhuddhika under heavy Police security yesterday (3).

The Magistrate ordered the Agarapatana Police to hand him over to the Meetiyagoda Police for further investigation.
