Sri Lanka, Oct. 8 -- The book Ran Dhoni, which tells the story of the daughter of Dr. Shiabdeen Mohamed Shafi, a doctor who was falsely accused in 2019 of forcibly sterilizing women, was launched recently at the Colombo International Book Fair.
Written by journalist Suranga Senanayake, the book recounts the challenges faced by Dr. Shafi's family during and after the ordeal.
Ven. Ulapane Sumangala Thera, JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva, Minister of Mass Media and Health, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, and Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation, Bimal Ratnayake were also present.
