Sri Lanka, Sept. 21 -- As a solution to the heavy traffic congestion, the re-introduced traffic lane law will be strictly enforced and legal action will be taken against drivers who violate traffic lane regulations from today, Police Media Spokesperson, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jaliya Senaratne said.

He was speaking at a press conference held at the Police Headquarters yesterday, said the Sri Lanka Air Force drone operators were deployed to conduct surveillance operations along the four main routes and also traffic was monitored by CCTV footage.

He said that they hope to take legal action against drivers who violate traffic lane laws with information obtained from CCTV footage and drone cameras.
