Sri Lanka, Jan. 27 -- Although the Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) is engaged in a continuous trade union action, sources from hospitals stated that patient care services were carried out as usual yesterday at leading Government hospitals.
The GMOA stated that they decided to continue the trade union action, which was temporarily suspended, due to the non-acceptance of doctors' demands.
The Specialist Doctors Association is not participating in this action. Specialist doctors performed patient care activities as usual.
