Sri Lanka, June 30 -- More train operations could be curtailed in coming days as employees attached to the Railway Department have no fuel and transport facilities to report to their working places," a Sri Lanka Railways spokesman said. A total of 26 train services including office and intercity trains scheduled to operate was cancelled yesterday. Since there is a serious fuel shortage in the country, the situation could worsen in the coming days, the spokesman said.
