Sri Lanka, June 7 -- SriLankan Airlines yesterday dispatched a relief flight to Indonesia after a SriLankan flight UL 306 was diverted to Medan International Airport following a technical issue to transport the passengers from Medan to Singapore.An engineering team was also dispatched from Colombo yesterday y to attend to the grounded aircraft.

SriLankan Airlines in a statement said that all 93 passengers and eight crew members on board of the aircraft were disembarked at Medan Airport as the aircraft required additional time for repairs.The statement said that there was a delay in transferring passengers to hotels due to stringent immigration formalities at the Medan airport.
