Sri Lanka, June 28 -- Nabbed by CIABOC on corruption charges: Wickramasinghe is brother of former first lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa:

SriLankan Airlines former Chairman Nishantha Wickramasinghe who was arrested yesterday (27) by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) in connection with an ongoing investigation has been remanded until July 01, by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court.

Wickramasinghe was arrested yesterday by the officials of the CIABOC in connection with an ongoing investigation into the procurement of aircraft during his tenure.

He was arrested yesterday at around 12:15 pm in Nawala by CIABOC officials. Wickramasinghe was later produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court.
