Sri Lanka, April 9 -- On Monday the Kandy's two oldest schools commenced their big match, 'Battle of the Golds', between Wariyapola Sri Sumangala (St. Paul's) College and Sri Rahula College, took off to start at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium yesterday.

Sri Sumangala College skipper Banuka Dissanayke won the toss and invited Sri Rahula College skipper Vishal Gardiwasam to take the first turn of the wicket and they went on to score heavily and declared at 303 for 6 with skipper Vishal Gardiyawasama top scoring a fine 149 runs with some good hits right round the wicket.
