Srilanka, April 1 -- A group of 12 Sri Lankans arrived at Katunayake Airport on the night of March 31 after participating in a three-day program in Xiamen, China, aimed at strengthening Sri Lanka's health sector through Chinese Tai Chi Chuan.

The event saw the participation of 1,300 individuals from eight countries, along with 50 Tai Chi Chuan instructors. Tai Chi Chuan, a martial art known for enhancing physical and mental well-being, is recognized by the World Health Organization for its role in reducing non-communicable diseases.

During the program, the Sri Lankan team secured third place in a competitive event.
