Sri Lanka, Jan. 28 -- Sri Lanka's men's and women's beach volleyball teams both secured the runner-up spots at the 2025 CAVA Beach Volleyball Championship, which concluded at the Beach Park in Negombo on Sunday. Despite their strong performances, the Sri Lankan teams were defeated in the finals by the top-ranked teams from Iran and Kazakhstan.

In the women's final, Sri Lanka's duo of Deepika Bandara and Kasuni Tharaka fought hard but were beaten by Kazakhstan, duo of Leura Kabulbekova and Nadesda Ivanchenko who won 2-0. The match ended with scores of 21-11 and 21-17.
