Sri Lanka, Aug. 17 -- Malaysian police have arrested a Sri Lankan national along with two Malaysians during a major raid on a heroin processing laboratory in Bukit Tambun.
According to local media, police conducted two raids, seizing over 1.7kg of heroin, 26kg of caffeine, chemicals, and drug-processing equipment. The syndicate is believed to have been in operation since January, producing heroin for the local market.
The two Malaysian suspects, aged between 25 and 46, were found to have prior drug and criminal records, while the Sri Lankan suspect reportedly had no previous criminal background.
Police confirmed that investigations are ongoing to dismantle the network.
