Sri Lanka, Sept. 2 -- Sri Lanka's tourism industry is showing remarkable signs of recovery in 2025, with tourist arrivals up to August reaching 1,566,523 visitors.

This marks a significant improvement compared to the same period in 2024, when arrivals stood at 1,361,768 for the first eight months. The year-on-year growth highlights renewed global interest in Sri Lanka as a travel destination, reflecting both stronger international connectivity and improved confidence in the country's hospitality sector.
