Sri Lanka, Dec. 2 -- The government has decided to import frozen vegetables that meet the standards of the Department of Agriculture, Commissioner General of Essential Services B.K. Prabhat Chandrakeerthi announced.

He stated that the lists of essential food items and other necessities compiled by District Secretaries will be published through the media. This measure aims to identify challenges faced by the public in accessing essential supplies during the ongoing disaster situation and to inform relevant suppliers accordingly.

Suppliers will then be able to contact the respective District and Divisional Secretaries to ensure the prompt delivery of the required items.
