Srilanka, Feb. 25 -- Sri Lanka's long-awaited Tariff Policy, which has been a topic of discussion among industrialists for years, is set to be implemented this year, according to Deputy Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Chaturanga Abeysinghe.

The Deputy Minister made this announcement during an awards ceremony organized by the Sri Lanka Industrial Development Board to recognize and encourage the country's top entrepreneurs on February 21.

The new tariff policy includes several key programs designed to uplift the business sector, such as establishing minimum prices for value-added services and inputs, reducing production costs in the energy sector, lowering transportation costs, and implementing a data policy.
