Sri Lanka, Feb. 17 -- The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal for Sri Lanka to host the inaugural meeting of an expert group established under the BIMSTEC framework to strengthen cooperation on fiscal and monetary policy among member states.Sri Lanka travel

The expert group was agreed upon during the 7th BIMSTEC Summit in February 2024 to facilitate knowledge sharing and cooperation in public and financial policy among member countries. The committee was initially proposed by Sri Lanka's Minister of Foreign Affairs and subsequently endorsed by all BIMSTEC members.
