Sri Lanka, Aug. 30 -- Left-arm paceman Dilshan Madushanka bowled a superb final over, taking a hat-trick to finish with 4 for 62, helping Sri Lanka secure a thrilling 7-run win over Zimbabwe in the first ODI at Harare Sports Club yesterday.
Zimbabwe's sixth-wicket pair, Sikandar Raza (92 off 87 balls, 8 fours) and Tony Munyonga (43 not out), put up a valiant fight. Madushanka claimed his first-ever international hat-trick, dismissing Raza, Brad Evans (0), and Richard Ngarava (0), which sealed the match. Zimbabwe were bowled out for 291 in 50 overs, chasing a target of 299.
