Sri Lanka, Dec. 9 -- Sri Lanka's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vijitha Herath, held a telephone conversation with the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Hon. M. K. Stalin, to convey the country's gratitude for the emergency relief support provided to communities affected by recent adverse weather conditions.

During the call, Minister Herath expressed appreciation for the Tamil Nadu Government's assistance and solidarity during Sri Lanka's time of need. He also highlighted his confidence that people-to-people ties between the two regions will continue to strengthen and that the spirit of goodwill and cooperation will further grow in the future.
