Srilanka, May 27 -- Sri Lanka has officially welcomed over one million tourists as of 25 May 2025, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).Sri Lankan tourism

Between 1 January and 25 May, a total of 1,006,097 international visitors arrived in the country. Of this, 109,213 tourists were recorded during the month of May alone.

India continues to be the leading source of tourists, contributing 39,070 arrivals in May. Other notable source markets include the United Kingdom (7,661), China (7,139), Germany (6,143), Bangladesh (5,637), Australia (4,917), France (4,660), USA (2,959), Russia (2,950), and Canada (2,783).
