Sri Lanka, Jan. 28 -- The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment has reported that 119 Sri Lankans have traveled to Israel in recent days as part of employment opportunities in the nursing sector for the past few weeks.

On January 29, flight tickets were issued to 34 nursing professionals, including 29 women and 5 men, from the 152nd batch of Sri Lankan nurses set to leave for Israel. This marks another step forward in the ongoing collaboration between Sri Lanka and Israel.

Since the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment and the PIBA Institute of Israel, a total of 2009 Sri Lankans have secured nursing positions in Israel.
