Sri Lanka, July 13 -- Sri Lankans living overseas sent back USD 635.7 million in remittances during June 2025, according to data released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
This marks a 22% increase compared to June 2024, when the total remittances amounted to USD 519.6 million.
The rise in remittance inflows highlights the continued contribution of Sri Lanka's migrant workforce to the national economy, particularly in supporting foreign exchange reserves and economic stability.
