Sri Lanka, Nov. 22 -- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment, Arun Hemachandra, held discussions with the management of the Port of Antwerp-Bruges during his visit to Belgium, where he is currently participating in the Fourth EU-Indo Pacific Ministerial Forum.
According to Hemachandra, the meeting focused on strengthening Sri Lanka's position as a maritime hub through enhanced cooperation in several key areas, including port development, digitalisation, green logistics, training and potential future investments.
He stated that boosting ties between Antwerp-Bruges, Colombo and Trincomalee would create new opportunities for growth and reinforce Sri Lanka's role in global trade.
