Sri Lanka, Dec. 3 -- Sri Lanka's hopes at the ASBC Asian Elite Men and Women Boxing Championships took another hit as Thushari Perera exited the competition in her international debut yesterday.
Perera, a 29-year-old representing the Air Force, competed in the women's light flyweight (50kg) category but fell short against Chinese Taipei's Chiu Ching Yu. Despite a promising start, Perera struggled to maintain momentum, eventually losing via unanimous decision.
