Sri Lanka, Dec. 27 -- Sri Lanka Rugby has announced a series of strict measures to ensure the safety of match officials and players following incidents reported during last week's A-Division League encounter between Kandy Sports Club and CH & FC.

At an emergency council meeting, the governing body stressed that acts of hooliganism, intimidation and misconduct will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Clubs were reminded that they are fully responsible for the conduct of individuals within their premises and must take firm action to prevent similar incidents in the future.
