Sri Lanka, Jan. 30 -- Sri Lanka's rubber sector achieved USD 1 billion in revenue in 2024 and the industry is planning to increase exports to USD 2 billion by 2030 said newly elected Chairman of Sri Lanka Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Rubber Products (SLAMERP), Managing Director of Dipped Products PLC, Pushpika Janadheera (pictured) at their 14th AGM.
"To achieve this we need to focus on innovation, sustainability and strategic partnerships that ensure that Sri Lanka's rubber industry is well-poised for sustained growth."
Janadheera commended the industry's remarkable achievements, including USD 1 billion in export revenue in 2024. He emphasized the growing global demand for value-added rubber products as well.
