Sri Lanka, Dec. 15 -- The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) announced that the country has recorded its highest-ever remittances in 2025, citing data from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.Ceylon Exports information

Sri Lanka received US$7.19 billion from workers abroad during the first 11 months of 2025, with an estimated US$673.4 million expected in November alone. This marks a 20.1% increase compared to the US$5.96 billion received during the same period in 2024.

SLBFE Chairman Kosala Wickremesinghe stated that 2025 is set to be the year with the highest remittance inflows in the nation's history, surpassing the total of US$6.57 billion received in 2024.
