Sri Lanka, Dec. 1 -- The special aircraft of the Indian Air Force carrying two makeshift field hospital systems, along with essential medicines, medical equipment, and a team of Indian military doctors, arrived at Katunayake Airport last night (30).
These hospital systems, medicines, and equipment were all manufactured in India.
The field hospitals are fully equipped with facilities including surgery, laboratory tests, and X-ray services. A team of five Indian military doctors arrived to train local Sri Lankan doctors in operating these hospitals.
After completing the training, the Indian team will hand over operations to local staff and return to India.
