In an official notice, the department emphasized that it welcomes public feedback and constructive criticism, and regularly takes such input into account when making decisions.

However, the Police urged users to express their views respectfully and avoid the use of vulgar or inappropriate language on its social media platforms.

The notice further stated that using profanity reflects poorly on the commenter themselves and warned that future violations may lead to legal or disciplinary action.
