Sri Lanka, Nov. 27 -- Deputy Health Minister Dr. Hansaka Wijemuni stated that Sri Lanka is dedicated to promoting Traditional Medicine both within the country and across the region.

He made these remarks at the inaugural ceremony of the 7th Meeting of the BIMSTEC Task Force on Traditional Medicine, held yesterday (26) at the Pegasus Reef Hotel in Wattala.

Organised by the Indigenous Medicine Division of the Ministry of Health and Mass Media and the Department of Ayurveda, the two-day Summit will continue today (27). Delegates from the 7 Member-States- Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand and Sri Lanka-attended the event.
