Srilanka, March 12 -- Sri Lanka has been named as one of the countries with the least terrorist threats in the world.

The Global Terrorism Index for 2025 is based on studies conducted on the effects of global terrorism in 2024.

According to this, Burkina Faso is the country with the highest number of terrorist threats and Pakistan is in the second place in the list. Also, Syria is in the third place among the countries with the most terrorist threats.

According to this index, Sri Lanka ranks 100th as the country with the lowest risk of terrorism. Sri Lanka, which was ranked 36th in this index in 2023, has also been declared the most advanced country in the South Asian region in reducing terrorist threats, falling 64 places.
