Sri Lanka, July 2 -- Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa emphasized the need for a dual healthcare model in Sri Lanka, where both free public healthcare and paid treatment options are available based on individual choice and affordability. He reiterated that 1,200 government hospitals currently provide free services, but added that the state must remain responsible for the health of all citizens, even in systems partially operated by the private sector.Sri Lankan fashion
The Minister made these remarks at the launch of two new community-centric health services by Lanka Hospitals on July 2, attended by Deputy Minister of Tourism Professor Ruwan Ranasinghe.
