Srilanka, April 8 -- Sri Lanka has reduced its maternal mortality rate to 25 per 100,000 live births-well below the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) target of 70-according to Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.
He attributed this achievement to the country's free healthcare system and affirmed the Ministry's commitment to further lowering the rate while ensuring the delivery of high-quality health services.
