Srilanka, May 29 -- The second round of discussions on US-imposed tariffs on Sri Lanka was held yesterday (28) at the Office of the United States Trade Representative in Washington, D.C.A high-level Sri Lankan delegation recently departed the island to participate in the talks, which mark a continuation of several earlier virtual meetings between the two sides.

This in-person meeting reaffirms the mutual commitment of Sri Lanka and the United States to strengthening bilateral economic ties. The talks are expected to pave the way for new opportunities in trade cooperation, while aiming to secure favorable outcomes for Sri Lanka in line with its current economic priorities.
