Sri Lanka, Feb. 24 -- The Foreign Affairs Ministry in coordination with the Sri Lankan mission in Myanmar continues to make every effort to rescue and repatriate Sri Lankan nationals who have become victims of human trafficking and are trapped in Myanmar.

The Foreign Ministry in a statement yesterday evening said that Foreign Minister Ali Sabry took this issue up with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, requesting urgent intervention to rescue Sri Lankan nationals.
