Srilanka, May 2 -- A high-level meeting took place yesterday at the Ministry of Health and Mass Media between Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa and Ms. Kristin Parco, Head of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

The discussion focused on enhancing the longstanding partnership between the Ministry and IOM, with a particular emphasis on strengthening health interventions for both international and internal migrants. Key areas covered included the review and update of the National Migrant Health Policy, expansion of primary healthcare for migrants, improvement of health services in coastal and northern/eastern regions, and the strategic development of mental health care.
