Sri Lanka, July 30 -- An accident occurred yesterday (29) in the Meraya Uvakelle Estate area within the Lindula Police Division when a three-wheeler, reportedly traveling at high speed, veered off the road and plunged down a 100-foot cliff, according to Lindula Police.

The vehicle was carrying four individuals - the driver and three youths in the back seat - all of whom sustained serious injuries and were admitted to the Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital.

Initial police investigations revealed that the driver was heavily intoxicated at the time of the incident. The group was traveling from the estate to Lindula Meraya town when the driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the accident. The three-wheeler was severely damaged...
