Sri Lanka, Nov. 1 -- Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa urged Sri Lankan specialist doctors currently practicing abroad to return and rejoin the public service in the country.

The Minister made this appeal while speaking at a gathering of doctors organized by the Sri Lankan High Commission in the United Kingdom during his official UK visit. Dr. Jayatissa highlighted the severe shortage of specialist doctors in Sri Lanka, stressing that the contributions of locally trained specialists are vital at this moment.
