Srilanka, April 28 -- Sri Lanka Police announced that special rewards will be granted to police officers who performed their duties during the Sri Dalada Maligawa pilgrimage.

This announcement was made through an official post on the Sri Lanka Police's Facebook page.

Over 10,000 police officers were deployed to ensure the safety and security of devotees participating in the pilgrimage.
