Srilanka, May 14 -- The Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) has directed all Officers-in-Charge (OICs) and senior police personnel to carry out special night-time inspections of long-distance passenger buses.
According to the Police Media Division, this initiative comes in response to the growing number of accidents involving long-distance bus services. The Acting IGP has emphasized the need to strictly enforce traffic laws, particularly concerning offenses such as drunk driving, driving under the influence of drugs, and reckless or dangerous driving.
