Srilanka, March 28 -- Special train services will be in operation from today (28) to accommodate travelers during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebrations and the Sri Pada pilgrimage season, the Department of Railways announced.
These trains will run from Colombo Fort to Badulla, Anuradhapura, and Trincomalee, considering the increased demand, including school holidays.
On the 28th and 31st, special trains will depart Colombo Fort for Badulla at 7:00 PM and return from Badulla at 5:20 PM on both days.
From the 29th to the 31st, a train will leave Colombo Fort for Anuradhapura at 6:35 AM and return at 5:20 PM.
