Srilanka, Feb. 18 -- The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has issued a statement addressing the island-wide power outage that occurred on February 9.

In the statement, the board outlined both medium-term and long-term strategies to enhance grid stability and prevent future outages. Key measures include operating some generators at reduced capacity, utilizing selected gas turbines to stabilize the grid, and adjusting solar power usage during low-demand periods to avoid potential issues.
