Srilanka, May 23 -- Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne has appointed a three-member parliamentary committee to investigate and report on a complaint regarding the conduct of MP Dayasiri Jayasekara.

Announcing the decision in Parliament today (23), the Speaker stated that the committee was formed on May 20, following a complaint submitted in the Parliament Chamber.

The committee will be chaired by Hemali Weerasekara, the Deputy Chairperson of Committees. The other members include Minister Vijitha Herath, who oversees Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism, and Gayantha Karunatilleke, the Chief Opposition Organizer.
