Sri Lanka, April 16 -- The Southern Expressway Operations and Maintenance Division said that the revenue of the Southern Expressway during the last four days has exceeded Rs.135 million.

Over Rs.135 million had been earned until April 13 and it will receive a higher revenue in the next two days from the date of the Sinhala and Hindu New Year, they said. During that period, more than 515,000 vehicles have entered the Southern Expressway.

Compared to last year, a large number of vehicles have been driven on the Southern Expressway this year and its revenue has increased by Rs. 8 million compared to last year.
