Srilanka, March 17 -- The Government has negotiated for 7,600 jobs for Sri Lankans in South Korea, National People's Power (NPP) Parliamentarian Ajith Gihan said on Saturday (15) in Parliament.

He was speaking during the 2025 Appropriation Bill Committee Stage debate on the expenditure heads of the Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Ministry.

The MP said that in addition, the Government is negotiating for 9,300 jobs in Japan and 15,900 jobs in Israel for Sri Lankans.

MP Ajith Gihan said that these jobs in South Korea, Japan and Israel will be provided in the fields of construction, fisheries, agriculture and animal husbandry and the service sectors.
