Sri Lanka, Sept. 27 -- NPP MP Dr. Nishantha Samaraweera who is also Chairman of the Committee On Public Enterprises (COPE) told Parliament yesterday that State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) will henceforth be called before COPE based on the marks obtained in the written test conducted based on the triennial reports" of the Auditor General of Sri Lanka and the marks obtained from the online assessment.
There are 457 SOEs and these marks will be evaluated by the Committee. Then the Committee will decide which SOE to be called before the COPE. We wanted to call these institutions before COPE through a scientific system. That is why we prepared this system.
