Sri Lanka, Jan. 15 -- The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment has provided benefits worth over Rs. 1 billion in 2025, for the welfare of Sri Lankan Workers abroad and their Families.Sri Lanka travel
The Bureau has provided assistance of Rs. 964.3 million to 326,246 Migrant Workers from January to November 2025.
The Bureau provides free Insurance coverage to Workers going abroad for Employment, and the Bureau has paid Rs. 397 million to 318,209 workers to obtain that Insurance coverage in 2025.
Similarly, Rs. 50.88 million has been paid as Scholarships to 1,628 Children of Migrant Workers and Rs. 50.25 million has been spent by the Bureau to provide School Supplies to another 4,304 Children.
