Sri Lanka, Jan. 31 -- The Sports Minister Harin Fernando issued a new gazette on the January 24, cancelling the ban on Sri Lanka Auto Mobile Sports (SLAS) imposed by the former Sports Minister and the Gazette notification implemented by the Interim Committee.
Roshan Ranasinghe dissolved the governing council through a special gazette announcement on August 9, abolishing the executive council, which had been in session until May 31, 2024, during a former general assembly chaired by Ashhar Hameem.
He appointed an Interim Committee headed by veteran motor racing champion Mahesh Gammampila.
