In a statement, the SLAF highlighted that unauthorized drone activity poses a significant risk to critical air operations being conducted during the relief efforts. The presence of drones in the airspace can disrupt designated flight paths, hinder rescue missions, and potentially lead to serious aircraft accidents.

The Air Force further emphasized that such disruptions endanger not only aircrew members and aircraft but also civilians on the ground.
